The CVL Research Grants program represents
an annual and ongoing commitment from Pfizer Australia.
Pfizer Australia will provide AUD$800,000 fo the CVL Research Grants in 2008.
The CVL Research Grants will be allocated by an independent committee composed of leading physicians.
Amount and tenure of grants
Grants will be awarded for one year. Individual grants will be up to AUD$55,000 (including GST) per annum and will be awarded to cover part salaries, equipment, research materials and expenses. Equipment will only be funded if it is essential for the conduct of the research. Travel to conferences will only be funded up to the value of AUD$1500.
Grant recipients must notify CVL of any other funding obtained (or applied for) for the duration of the CVL award.
For the year 2007, the CVL Research Grants Program has been included on the Australian Competitive Grants Register (ACGR), which contributes the income portion of the DETYA Higher Education Research Data Collection.
