2009 Cardiovascular Lipid Research Grants

IMPORTANT MESSAGE

Applications are now CLOSED for the Pfizer Australia Cardiovascular Research Grants.

Applications are now sought for the 2009 Pfizer Australia Cardiovascular Lipid (CVL) Research Grants. Pfizer Australia will allocate up to AU$700,000 per annum to this initiative as part of their continued commitment to cardiovascular research in this country.

The Cardiovascular Lipid Research Grants were established in 1999 to support clinical research into cardiovascular disease. They are open to medical graduates who are early in their research career having entered the field of research (or returned after an appropriate break) within the last five years. Funding for the Cardiovascular Lipid Research Grants will be up to AU$55,000 (including GST) per annum. Each grant is for 12 months. Under exceptional circumstances 2 years of funding will be provided.

All applications are reviewed initially by two independent expert referees. The final decision is then made by the Australian Physicians Independent Committee (APIC), composed of 12 leading specialists.
